Hidden tickets can be an excellent way to monitor and track internal bookings that you are making for stakeholders, without having to enter promotion codes or to add additional fees on for Box Office cash sales. Hidden tickets are only seen by you when logged in and booking via the Make a booking screen.
Hidden tickets work like any normal ticket; you can edit their names, values, create limits and capacities on how many can be booked. The only difference is that they are only visible via the Make a booking link within your account, designed to be used for internal use only. This includes using them for issuing tickets for media, VIPs in exchange for counter sales which include a processing fee or even when you need to take a special payment.
To set up a hidden ticket:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- In the Manage events overview, select your event
- From the left menu, go to Pricing Group (ticket prices), under Ticketing
- Click into the pricing group listed
- Click Add ticket type
- Set up your ticket, ensuring you set the status to Hidden
- Click Save and close
Hidden tickets will behave exactly the same as normal tickets when it comes to reporting.
Hidden tickets will display for you if you are logged into your account, even when going to your event via the direct link in a new tab or window. Please log out of your account to confirm that hidden tickets are not visible to the general public.
