Widgets are snippets of HTML you can copy/paste into your own website code and display your event(s) directly on your website. Choose from the many Vanco Events widget options available.
Widgets can boost your event’s visibility, as well as encourage customers to make ticket purchases and bookings whenever they visit your website.
To use the widget, you will need to edit the HTML of your website.
Widgets are located under Marketing tools on the dashboard, and under Event promotion on the event dashboard.
Creating your widget:
Each widget page has HTML code for you to click copy to your clipboard and paste into the HTML of your website. This code will create the required iframe page and pull through the styling and widget content as required.
As you update your widget, the HTML code (via an API call) will update your website look and feel, in most cases, there is no need to update the HTML code again for that event.
Styling your widget template:
Your widgets are styled by default with Vanco Events colors. If you wish to adjust this to your own colors and styling, please start by selecting Widgets from the marketing tools section on your dashboard.
To change the color, click on the color square, enter the HEX code or select from the color palette. Save and name this template. Multiple templates can be defined for use later.
Types of widgets:
There are plenty of widget options including an Event Listing, Customization Buttons, Event Life Cycle, Landing Page and Booking Page. Some widgets are applied across all events where some can be adjusted per event. For each widget, you can define the styling via a template or create a one-off color palette.
Event listing (applies to all events):
The Event Listing collates all of your current events onto one listing, to ensure your patrons can view all events in the one place. This widget is found on your dashboard and applies to all events (open) on this account.
Purchase button widgets (set per event):
Drive traffic to your event with branded call-to-actions. You can change the button’s message to say book, purchase or register for your event, color and font.
Event life cycle widget (set per event):
This widget allows you to link your event to your website with clear messaging about your events availability. As your event opens, closes or sells out, this widget will automatically update.
Landing page (set per event):
Embed your event homepage (the first step of the booking process) directly into your website. This page is a complete copy of your current event homepage, which you can view the preview on the Event Hompage or via Make a Booking.
Booking Page (set per event):
Embed the first step of our booking options directly with your website to speed up the booking process. This may be selecting the ticket types, selecting a date or section. In this case, the event homepage is bypassed so there are fewer clicks for the patron wishing to make a booking.
